the COFFEE list: dallas

Dallas had me falling in love with coffee. REALLY good local coffee. Four years and I’ve been to every spot Dallas has to offer. With my research complete, here are the five best:

Local Press + Brew in Oak Cliff– Located a few minutes south from Trinity Groves, this small shop takes the crown with Instagram in mind. Complete with superb coffee and flights of fresh juices, it’s a great place to start the day.

The Wild Detectives in Bishop Arts – Practically a book lover’s heaven. With the walls lined with books and live “Shakespeare in the Bar,” this coffee spot is the perfect place to spend any summer night. Plus, Emporium Pies is only a few steps away.

Weekend Coffee in Downtown – Tucked away Downtown in the lobby of The Joule, this gem will not disappoint. From the strong coffee that will have you wired for hours to the big chairs ready for book reading, this find is my weekday favorite.

Ascension in the Arts District – Coffee and a killer Panini? Come here for the perfect lunch date. Enjoy the table service while you gather some inspiration from the locals pitching new ideas or catching up over a cup of their delicious Kyoto Brew.

Houndstooth Coffee on Lower Greenville – When you want just good vibes, great people, and dope coffee, hit up my all-time favorite place in Dallas. Huge tables to work at and mouth-watering donuts Wednesday-Sunday. They just opened a new location in West Dallas, but their Henderson location will always have my heart.
