If you find my Apple Music profile, you’ll notice my playlists for running, for long plane flights and for the day I audition to be a SoulCycle instructor. This past weekend I took a last-minute trip to LA. On the flight home, I curated a new playlist. Filled with the songs I can’t stop listening to, check out the first of many song lists:
Best to You by Blood Orange // Blood Orange has me feeling all the feels. From the production to the layering, you can’t help but dance to this symphonic track.
Gosh by Jamie XX // If you know me, you know I love The XX. Jamie XX’s solo departure from the group has been a HUGE success and his brand new video for the song says so much with barely any words.
Wild (feat. Alessia Cara) by Troye Sivan // Back when I was a college rep with Universal Music Group, I helped promote both artists’ debut releases. Their recent collaboration on this remix begs to be sung in the shower.
Final Song by MØ // Hands down. My SONG OF THE SUMMER. You’ll definitely find me singing along to this one when MØ takes over Terminal 5 in December.
Face the Sun (feat. Lenny Kravitz) by Miguel // I love re-visiting a great album and I could listen to Miguel’s Wildheart everyday for the rest of my life. While it’s hard to pick just one track, you can’t go wrong with some Lenny Kravitz.
Weekend by Louis The Child & Icona Pop // Somehow the stars aligned and I was at Coachella when Louis The Child brought this pop duo on stage to debut their collaboration. A few months later with the final production complete, it’s a contagious summer JAM.
yea, babe, no way by LANY // Find a car. Find a street where you can see the sunset. And press play. Just don’t get arrested for dancing in your car. Please keep one hand on the wheel at all times.
Misery by Gwen Stefani // While a No Doubt reunion has been on my Christmas List for the past two years, Gwen’s latest single will do. Live Nation can keep sending me emails to buy tickets for her summer tour. Eventually I’ll cave and sing this song from the top of my lungs.
Take A Chance (feat. Little Dragon) by Flume // The song I’m using for the whole “climb the mountain, see your goals, love yourself, you can do anything you ROCKSTAR” section of the SoulCycle instructor audition I have yet to sign up for.
Same Drugs by Chance the Rapper // I gave this guy a water bottle, put ice on his tour bus, and he used my Apple TV back at SMU. Chance’s third release is a god dream. This soaring track stands out from the rest.
